Setup -> Display -> Auto doesn't work anymore?

Setup -> Display -> Auto doesn't work anymore?
so under Display in the Setup menu I have it set on "Auto" It use to work.. during the day the display would be bright and at night it would be dark. However, now the display is always bright and does not turn dark at night. anyway to fix this?

PLEASE, I beg you, search. This has been discussed countless time here. to answer your question, turn your headlights on and move the gauge brightness down 1 notch (speedometer brightness)
