Seat issues/rim issues.....
Hey guys:
I started a thread about a month ago about my loose seat; you guys were correct. Will cost me 780 bucks or so quoted from Acura to fix my seat rails. Bummer.
So I get in the car today, and about a 6 inch long area of leather rips in half. SUCKS. Anybody know if Acura services seats, not just seat rails, but re-covers them? And if not them, who does?
And, I think Acura told me they can repair the major scratches on my rims (from hitting curbs, drive thrus, ect) and it isn't that much. Anyone know how much that costs? I think they said they melt it down and re-form it.
I have a kid on the way and can't sling too much money toward this stuff, and I want to trade it in soon anyway.
My poor '08 black base model is falling apart! Thanks so much for the help!

Wheel repair= look online to see if any shops local to you do wheel repair (for the TL wheels will be $100-150 per wheel including repaint and clear coat
Seat repair= look for local upholstery shop that can do the work.
Acura will just farm the work out to specialists in these areas, so you can eliminate the middleman just by taking care of these issues by finding the right people to do the work (Acura techs don't do this kind of work).
