Screeching from front tires
Screeching from front tires
So the other day, I went to a wand car wash. Before washing, I sprayed some rim cleaner on the rims and then washed it off right away.
A day after washing, I noticed a screeching sound coming from my front passenger side tires. I can hear this sound no matter how fast I'm going. But if I press the brake, the sound goes away. When I release the brake, the sound comes back.
This is on a 2005 TL 6-speed
Anybody know what could of caused this?

May have rinsed some lube from the back of the pads, now they squeak, but when brakes applied, the pressure keeps the pads against the rotor and will not allow then the nove inside the caliper, which is the noise you're hearing. Put some anti-squeal lub on the back of the pads and give it a try.
