Scratch On outside of Rear Passenger window

A little bit of debris must have gotten into the window track and now I have a nice 5" scratch on the outer part of my right rear passenger window.

What remedies or replacements can I do for this problem? Could anyone give me a ballpark firgure how much it would end up costing me?

Thanks

Can you feel it with your fingernail?

If not then it can be buffed out. J.C. Whitney sells a glass polishing kit. I bought/used it on my '95 Accord way back when and it worked. That was a "scuff" and I couldn't feel it with my nail.

You can also take it to a glass shop. They will tell you if it can be repaired and can repair it for you.

The "fingernail test" is the golden standard for glass repair. If you can feel it then it can't be buffed out and the pane must be replaced.
