RV6-P strut bar install HELP!!!!
Hey AZ, just recently purchased a strut bar from a member on here, thanks Drbrains. But anyways the bolts on the oem bar is REALLY TOUGH. I have searched the garage but no luck.
When you guys install the bar did you guys have a shop install it, or was it DIY. And also are there also bolts that holds the bar and other parts of the engine. Any help will be appreciated.
Oh I also still have the progress rear sway bar that i havent gotten a chance to install. Any help on that would help as well.. Thanks AZ and keep on modding and keep them 3G's clean

yeah, i remember those bolts being on their pretty darn tight. you can still do it yourself though. you need more torque! use your 3/8 ratchet, and find an extension...like a tent pole or something. i have this extension at home that i use; it's originally meant for reaching and replacing those high up light bulbs on our porch. the longer, the better. all you need to do it fit it over your ratchet and loosen it; right tighty, lefty loosey. good luck!
Or if you have a floor jack take out the lever and use that. I remember trying to do things with just the bare minimum tools and soon after that invested mommy into the right tools. Best time to buy is fathers day. Thats when i usually buy and it is awesome that i get to write off all the tools.
6 main nuts; they're tight, but not THAT tight.
There are 2 or 3 other 10mm bolts in other spots - near the fuse box and a bracket on the passanger side.
Maybe one other; I'd have to look.
The RSB has a number of threads already in the garage and via search.

Yeah it's definetely possible to do it yourself.
My RSB endlinks broke recently... I guess too much stress from an aftermarket bar, bummer. I would recommend not having it on the stiffest setting.
