RPM's rev when step on clutch in reverse?

Hey guys, not sure if im losing my mind or not but has this happened to anyone else? On my type s, whenever the car is in reverse and i step on the clutch, the rpms rev up a bit as if my foot is on the gas, but it isnt. Any ideas on why this is happening?

Does it do this after has fully warmed up?

the TL's rev a bit higher when cold to warm up the cats so they can be more effective at removing pollutants. Something to do with they ULEV status.

My engine will rev just above 1k when cold and drop down to about 800 when warm. Im not sure if those are exactly the numbers, but there is definitely a noticeable difference.

its a "feature"

you cant "fix" it.

Adapt your driving style to match the car.

let off the gas a split second before you disengage the clutch and you wont have the problem.

I despise the rev hang of any car. It makes it easier to drive smoothly for the clueless and makes it harder on the people that do know what they're doing.

I have tried that and it still seems to do it. Always sounds like I'm riding the shit out of the clutch

it's a byproduct of throttle by wire (your other acuras may have been cable actuated). If it's intentional the only reason i can think of is to make shifting slower/easier for the casual driver.

the point of throttle by wire is for better economy/emissions since the computer in the end is controlling it.

I doubt there's much clutch wear because of it as long as you engage the clutch with minimal slip. A member has gone over 200k with the original clutch.
