Rotational squeaking noise

Hello all,

I have a 2008 TL Type S 6mt. The car is making a rotational squeaking noise coming from the front right wheel area. I had a hit a curb previously but the car was fixed. The noise was not there after it was fixed so I don't know if it is related but I am assuming it is.

Sometimes it sounds pretty bad and sometimes I don't hear it at all. It seems to depend on how much I have the steering wheel turned. Also when I step on the brakes the noise goes away every time. I am due for new breaks as my front pads are very low, but I don't think low pads would cause this noise?

The dealer told me it was a backing plate rubbing against the rotor but as soon as I was going around the highway on-ramp on my way home the noise was still there.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thank you, much appreciated!!

It's probably a brake wear indicator tab (which is metal) making the noise to tell you to replace the pads now.

But doesn't the break wear indicator only squeal when you press on the breaks, not just while driving?

And I do have new front pads and rotors on the way. I am hoping that will solve the problem, but am worried that it won't,
