A rollercoaster of temperatures!

I have a 2006 TL and my temperature gauge will rise then fall. Has anyone had this problem? And if so, what was your fix? I was just curious before I started throwing parts at it. Thank you in advance.

Sounds like you have either air in your cooling system and/or a bad thermostat.
