Ripped the rubber door seal, question
Ripped the rubber door seal, question
so my keys got locked in car out of town, had to call the police to get me in. cop did a shotty job and ripped my seal.... is what it is, i needed the help and he got it done.
my question is, anyone know a good place to get one of these? what is price, level of difficulty to install?
also, is this fixable with an epoxy? or dont waste my time, just replace it.
also.... my door almost seems bent now in the top corner, you can almost see in pic. whats the best way to try to bend that back?

I went through the same thing with my 2g TL. My mom locked the keys inside the car she ripped the door seal into pieces and that part of the door was bent so bad that water started to leak inside when it rained. The cut you have does not look that bad. I mean if you dont have water leaking inside than why even replace it? and with the bend what i did was put the window down. put cloth over that area and stick a 2x4 between the top corner and the door trim and i pushed slowly to get it aligned... i hope my instructions are clear lol
it leaked like crazy in a car wash, lol. and the wind drives me nuts. now that i look at it, i think the leak/bend is probably where the leakage is coming in, looks subtle, but i think its enough for the problem
i agree. took a look at lunch. dude i work with kinda did a - put foot on bottom left of the inside of the door, and pushed as he pulled the top corner toward himself. actually worked pretty good. drove on freeway and noise was gone.
