Right rear brake issue
So since i bought my 05 6mt my right rear brake has been waring out before all the other ones. Its metal to metal. When brakes are low does the calliper automatically engage. What could be the cause of it. Its really starting to become an issue. Can anyone help?

Wow. You literally answered my next question lol it is rare. Ive driven acuras since i graduated high school and never has this happened. Well now i know. But how would moisture get into the brake fluid. Basically water?

Is it just one sided in the rear or both left and right. Its like wasting brake pads because last time i threw away the left brake pad thinking i was keeping the rears uniform.

this is what you do.
loosen lugs
jack car up
remove said wheel
remove caliper and hang it on a spring
remove pads
remove guide pins
remove caliper bracket
Now that you have it all apart
remove shims
remove all rubber boots from caliper bracket
use brake cleaner to clean grease out of caliper bracket
reinstall rubber boots to caliper bracket
install new shims and coat them with copper based anti seize
Inspect guide pins
hose down with brake cleaner
if they have caked on crud, remove it with emery cloth
using a good quality grease, lube up pins and then stick them back into the caliper bracket
make sure guide pins move freely
install new rotor
reinstall caliper bracket
put anti seize on brake pad ears and install them into the caliper bracket
crack bleeder line on caliper
push piston back in
finger tighten bleeder
install caliper
install bleeder hose with 1 way valve onto bleeder line
put other end into a bucket or pan
pump brakes until clear fluid comes out of caliper and then close valve (make sure you keep topping off your fluid)
reinstall wheel and lower car
do the same for the other side.

True. Thanks for everyones help and input. Changed brakes waiting for new calipers to come in. Off topic. Can the factory amp be changed to a higher watt amp? If so any suggestions and is it a good thing or just leave it alone.

I just got my 05 base and unfortunately just had this happen. One side of the seal was blown out a good 1/4". It was seized and gripping the rotor, the pad was down to the wear indicator luckily I caught it before it wore down to metal on metal.

May want to replace the brake hose as well when you do the caliper. I replaced my caliper and the new one still was not releasing. Ended up the brake hose was collapsed. There only about $15

If you do not have one, you may want to get a flare end wrench for when you instal the brake hose. If you try to use a crescent or box end wrench you could strip the nut where the brake hose and brake line connect. I have an 05 tl too and mine was rusted on pretty good. The flare end wrench made it much easier.
