Right axle leaking grease

Changed my oil the other day and noticed that there was grease seeping out of the axle where it is attached to the bearing support (center part of axle just above exhaust). A rubber cover was wet and it leaks on the exhaust pipe.
Anyone else have this problem? I finally discovered why I was smelling burnt oil when I park my car. Appt with dealer is set for 12/18.

that i believe is your cv joint...the rubber part is the boot that keeps road dirt out...if your car is out of warranty, its going to cost a few hundred bucks...

If it's "seeping" it may be something thinner like ATF leaking past the seals on the tranny or oil leaking down from somewhere else. My experience with a CV or inner joint boot failure is that the grease in those is much thicker and will make a mess all over the place since it is expelled as the axle spins.

Its not trans fluid or the cv boot area. The "wet" area is the center area of the axle between the boots. The bearing support is attached to the frame. The bearing support has a rubber seal and bearing inside.
When you have a chance to look at your own, you will see what I mean. Maybe seeping was the wrong term, there is nothing dripping, just wet in that specific area, and it does make its way down to the exhaust pipe.
My car is under warranty with 28,000 mi.

You sure it's not oil from removal of the oil filter at your last oil change?...

Definitely NOT oil from oil change. I clean up after all oil changes, good enough to eat off of. Though this area is close to the drain plug, oil does not travel upward getting the plastic shield wet, up to the bearing support and on top of the exhaust. Go look under there and you will see what I mean.
No need to post if no one has my problem. Unless some of you look underneath, no need to guess what Im talking about.
I will post what the dealer finds.

Dealer confirmed my right half shaft is leaking. They had to order shaft that was not in stock.
You will only know by looking below or you start to smell burnt oil coming from nowhere.
This is now causing me to look at the left shaft. Have to take off plastic shield to inspect.
Again, my TL is '05 with 28K mi. Wonder how many more has my problem.

I've noticed what smells like hot wheel bearing grease coming from the front right area of my car after I've been driving. I haven't bothered looking underneath to see what it is (if anything) because, quite frankly, I don't care. Hahaha... ohhh it's a long story. But seriously though, I really should check to see if my TL-S is doing the same thing.
