Hello All,

I have a 04 Manual transmission TL that i bought used currently has 115k miles has a new clutch. Recently started hearing some unusual noises as I start de-accelerate, it almost sounds like rattling and it stops when I'm at a full stop. I also started to realize that the AC is not really that cold even if i'm putting down to the low 60's. I'm at the point of just wanting to take it in to nearest Acura dealership so they can run a "Full" diagnostic. I called to see how much it would run me and i got quoted at $250 and $280 at the nearest locations for "fine tooth combing" of the entire car as they put it. Is it worth it for me to do this or should i just go to any auto shop? I'm loving the car and physically from interior and exterior and just want to make sure that internally its up to par before I make any more cosmetic and modifications. All advise is welcome please.

 

The dealer will charge you through the nose; and they do that lame "charge to diagnose" thing. Where in LA are you?

 

sounds like a flywheel problem. maybe they didn't resurface it. just a thought.
