Hello all,

I have an '05 TL and the remotes have suddenly stopped working for locking the car. Both will unlock the car, but not lock it. All the fuses look good, and when I hit the lock button from the inside all doors lock. All doors also lock when I use the key to lock the doors (took a while...I forgot how to actually put the key in the door handle since it's been so long). I also tried to reprogram the fobs and that didn't help...but I didn't completely do a reset on them and then try to reprogram.

Any thoughts?

 

New batteries?

 

once I was trying to leave the key in ignition and lock with the other fob... and car won't allow to lock from the outside.. (safety measure) connected??? I doubt that's the case for you as I'd bet you had multiple occurrences...

 

Nope. Wasn't the batteries. Turns out the back door was slightly open, just enough to keep the doors from locking. I had an A1 message on my display which prevented me from seeing a door open alert on the display. That was a waste of an hour on a nice day. Oh well, I get the ID ten T (ID10T) award for the week.
