Exclamation Remote/Security Issue

Hello everyone....

Yesterday after i parked my car i shut off the engine opened the door to throw something out. I guess it set the alarm and i didnt realize it. So i went to start my car and the alarm went off. I am guessing i didnt hit the unlock button instead hit something else because my remote isnt working properly with my car. It unlocks all the doors except the driver. Even the unlock/lock button doesnt control the drivers lock anymore. Also when i unlocked the car the seat used to adjust back to its normal position it no longer does that either. My head lights used to shut off once i press the lock key twice and it no longer does that either.

I am certain i did something to my remote/security. Anyone else have the same problem or know how to resolve this?

Please help me out!!!!

what is really throwing me off is why the unlock/lock button on my door doesnt always lock or unlock my lock but it controls the locks on all the other doors.

it makes no sense...it was working flawlessly prior to yesterday!

could someone have tried to break into your car and broke your driver side door lock in the process? just throwing that idea out there.

i was thinking about that only because the button isnt even opening or closing it correctly, it appears to be a malfunction and it could just all be conincendental(however u spell it)....before i take it to the dealership and get a$$fu**ed for 150 for NO reason to fix i was wondering if anyone experienced this problem

1) It sounds like you unlinked the remote from the car-- relink it to save seat, mirror, A/C and audio settings.

2) How is the battery on the key fob? Replace it if it hasn't been replaced to date, and see if it works better.

3) If it's not a bad fob battery, you may also have a bad driver's door lock actuator, which happens occasionally-- get it replaced while under warranty.
