Rebuilding kit for brembo calipers??
Ok, so as the title states, I'm in the process of getting the brembo calipers powder coated. So I wanna rebuild them since they are gonna be off the car. I know there is a rebuilding kit for the brembos. What I would like to know for those that have done this and purchased the kit from Acura, what exactly comes in that kit? I know ther are 4 dust boots and 4 pressure seals per caliper. I just wanna know if that's what each kit consists of. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thank you
furthermore; here's what BREMBO has to say about a complete overhaul.
Complete Brake Caliper Overhaul / Refurbishment
Refurbishment of Brembo's with all new rubber components
The measure twice, cut once approach to refurbishing your Brembo calipers. Remember, we do all brake calipers, not just Brembo’s.
The entire caliper(s) is dismantled to its component pieces, we then clean everything in our Torrent 400 degreasing machine and dry them off ready for inspection by our assessing technician where we are able to identify any other faults, usually everything is just fine but we like to make sure as early as we can in the process. Then we shot-blast the casts ready for your chosen coating if applicable.
Once the caliper is painted (or not), we are then ready to rebuild. We replace all rubber parts as standard, this should be included in your quote, but pistons are replaced depending on the outcome of our assessment of which usually 1 in 10 need replacing, the piston fail rate on Brembo’s is particularly low. Once the calipers are rebuilt, they then undergo quite a thorough pressure and function test. We should see pistons moving at just 5psi, although we only re-work if it takes at least 15 psi, this also often depends on the type of caliper. Bearing in mind that your brake servo can assist your pedal to up to 1,500 psi in some cases.
Once the pressure and function test is complete, they then get a thorough clean and polish ready for QC which is performed by the dispatch manager.

One caliper per kit. Less expensive to purchase them elsewhere, e.g.Rockauto.
Do not split the caliper and use very fine crocus cloth to clean up the pistons/bores, and a lot of brake clean.
Many have powder coated calipers, but there are potential problems that can arise because of the high temps/powder.
