Rear Windows Fog Up
Rear Windows Fog Up
Hi All,
I did a search but didn't find anything that related to this problem.
I've noticed lately then when it is wet outside (rain or rain/snow), my rear windows seem to fog up easily. I have to keep playing with the climate control to clear them up and often times even that doesnt work. If I have passengers in the back its even harder to clear them up. I took it to the dealer and they said "there is nothing we can do about it, its normal" which kind of pissed me off. Any idea if this is something wrong with my car or perhaps something wrong with what I am doing?
Any help would be appreciated, thx!

There is a film that will build up on the interior glass from the materials in the car. I think this help helps fogging to occur. Cleaning the interior side of the windows may help. I use Windex rub it in, squeegee, and then buff with a microfibre.

Just the rear window and not the other windows? Weird.
If you get rained on and then you get into your TL with your wet umbrella and wet clothes, then ALL the windows will initially fog up due to evaporation. It's worse if you have wet passengers. Use the defrost with the AC on and that will at least clear up the front windows/windshield. You can turn up the temp so the AC doesn't freeze your ass off. Now my wife drives the TL, but isn't there a rear window defrost? Use that too, that's what it's for.

I meant the back windows on the door now the rear window. It seems as though when its wet outside it just fogs up and gets hard to clear. Its worse we people in the back seat.

Mine was really bad when I first got it. It would stay fogged up so long the defogger would turn off, and I would need to turn it back on before it was clear. After my windos were tinted it didnt seem to be as bad. Maybe the tint helps the heat dispersion.
