So I'm driving home today and I notice the reflection in the rear view mirror is bouncing around. Then I look at mirror and it's loose. I can't fathom how a car that is less than 2 years old could have such a problem.

Anybody else have a loose rear view mirror on their TL?

Took it to the dealer and the service manager said..."Yeah that is common, happens all the time. Just be lucky you don't have a 2nd Gen TL as they just fall off while you're driving"

WTF?

Took 5 minutes to fix but man...Honda/Acura has been nothing but trouble in terms of reliability.

The '03 RSX has had a faulty window regulator, a bad door switch, failed VTEC solenoid and rattling hood.

The '05 TL has had a rattling driver side mirror (new), squeaks all over, loose bracket behind the glove box, loose rearview mirror, and server rough idle when starting cold (which I assume is the PCM misfiring the engine to warm it up faster).

Not even my 12 year old T-Bird has had these many problems. Certainly not the rearview mirror or fault window regulator or motor. 12 years old...still tight and working like new.

What is wrong with auto makers today?

Yes, I had a loose rear-view mirror in my '05 TL. It just jiggled a little bit, but it was always like that from the very beginning. I recently had it fixed - the dealer replaced the whole mirror. (And while waiting for the repair, I test-drove and bought a new TL-S!!)

Nope, it's pretty darned perfect as far as I can tell, and a ton of fun to drive! I couldn't be happier...
