Rear Tint Distortion problems

I have a new 06 TL, about 3 weeks old. I had the dealer apply tint (35/20). The 20% on the rear window has distortion problems and I am taking it in tomorrow to have the tint redone. The big issue is a sort of diagonal wave and general blurriness in the tint. I noticed this when I picked up the car but they said it would go away after it fully dried...but it didn't.

Question: Can tint be applied without any blurriness even with the steep rear window angle on the 06 TL?? I hope so...it looks really great!
PS: too bad they don't offer factory tint options...

My tint produces some bluriness due to the rear window defroster lines. It's really only noticable at night when looking at headlights in the rearview mirror. I think this is a common occurance and you just have to get used to it.

thanks for the reply AMIC...i did take it in to the dealer and just spoke with their tinting supplier, ... he said that he cleaned it and it is OK. I would expect very little improvement (as you noted due to the defroster lines)...I will probably get used to it but felt it was worth checking anyway. Still it looks cool from outside...BTW/FYI the installer recommended non-ammonia Windex cleaner or the foam equivalent from Costco...and a cotton cloth.

From recommendations found on this site I got some Stoner's Invisible Glass cleaner at Target. Works really well on the tint and has no ammonia.
