Hi guys,

Been lurking around a bit, but I have a question. I came back to my parked 2004 TL after work and one of the rear tail lights was broken? WTF? I checked--it's only the red plastic covering for the light, and the light still works fine. Is there somewhere that I can order just the red plastic covering and is it easy to replace? Thanks so much for your help.

 

That sux! The whole taillight housing will need to be replaced...

 

you can buy the housing compete with the lens - its a water tight sealed unit, and held in by just a few bolts, you put your 4 bulbs and cars wires to it and ready to go.
,check the bay- or the private sales area of azine..looking about 50-75$ iirc

In the meantine- go to any parts store and ask for the red turn signal/brake light repair tape. Its red colored even when lit, and strong- will keep you legal while you await new parts.
The Law likes a good solid effort at repairs, more than the the car with a broken light!!
