Sorry if I haven't searched hard enough but have any DIY'ers changed their rear mount? I've had the vibration/shudder at idle in gear and changed the front and side mounts...improved slightly but not total fix.

I read in one thread that the frame needs to be lowered. Others say it's no big deal. Can the rear mount be lifted from the engine bay b/w the firewall and the rear of the engine if the strut brace is taken off? Are there any tricks to replacing the rear mount? Any help on this would be appreciated.

 

put the jack under the engine near the mount you are working on.
u lift it to where it just barley lifts it.
remove the mounting bolts then the mount it self.
put new mount in position.
then lift or lower the jack to adjust to where the holes will line up.
not very hard at all.
getting the mount removed from where is is located it the hard part.
you have to wiggle it up by the fire wall.
you will also have to remove the strut bar on top.
