Rear Driver Door Locking Issue

This may not be the biggest issue but annoying to say the least. When unlocking and locking my doors (both with key fob and in the car control) the rear driver door doesn't work. Any thoughts?

Looks like actuator is dead. Pretty common problem among Hondas. They're pretty cheap to replace, when my driver's door actuator failed it was a $19 part.

This is awesome, having the same issue - is there a write-up on installing the actuator?

Just picked up 2 of these off of eBay. Cheapest deal I could find, and a lifetime warranty.

72155SDAA01 New Power Door Lock Actuators Front Left or Rear Left 72155 SDA A01 | eBay
Nice price, but will these actually fit the left rear door? The correct part# is supposed to be 76255-SEA-G01

The rear actuator is the same part electronically, but physically the little piece that does the actuating is different. In one of the above threads there is mention of using a new front actuator and modifying it with the oem piece from the bad rear actuator. I did that exacct thing without issue.

The front actuators are like 15 bucks while the rear is nearly 80. DIY and save that cash!

Hmmm, good question. The listing says it should. But hopefully I will receive them soon, and can let you know for sure.

They will plug in electronically, and fit the spot, but they will not work to lock or unlock the door without modification.

From the thread linked above, ravenjim said, "I ordered my actuator from Ebay $17. Not bad and thanks for all the help on here, I can do this and save a lot of $$$.
Well I removed the bad one and the new one wouldn't fit onto the lock mechanism.
I did some research and a lot of the Ebay sellers are saying that both front/rear are the same. Not so fast or easy. It seems Honda has for some reason made the lever arm on the rear and front actuators different and they are not interchangeable. And the ugly part about this is the darn rear actuator is around $70-$80 more than the front one.
Well I figured out the only difference was the lever arm. So I took my roto tool and very carefully cut the old lever arm off each actuator and then plastic welded the old to new actuator with a soldering iron. Installed and it works great.
I hope this helps someone in a pinch or if you were just curious as to why the cost is so different."

I did exactly what ravenjim did and it works, but its not plug and play.

This is a front actuator - the white plastic piece at the top right with the pink/purple is different than the rear.

This is the rear. While similar there is enough difference in the green piece from the front white piece that the front actuator won't work.

I had to dremel off the white piece from the new ebay one since it is molded in. The green piece on the bad oem actuator can snap off - then you have to glue or melt the green piece onto the new actuator assembly.

Thanks for that. Now I know what to expect when it finally arrives.
It does suck that they are selling them as fit for both front and rear, when its not accurate. But, being modifiable to fit, makes it worth the savings.
