The drivers side rear door on my 06 wont open from the inside. Outside is fine. Its like the child safety lock is on, but it isn't. Im not sure what to look for ...

 

This is on the 96 tl

remove screw behind inner door handle (behind little plastic cover)
remove screw in the panel pocket where you hold to close
The door handle should move freely and you can inspect it for any damage.

 

The cable housing was broken and the inside handle.

 

yup....same thing happened to me but on my drivers door.....such a pain in the ass to roll down the window to open the door before i got it fixed.
