Hello all,

New to the forum and would like to thank everyone as I found this site to be extremely helpful in making my decision to buy a TL. Got a black on black '05 w/ navi about 3 weeks ago from Santa Monica Acura. The internet route was a painless experience and I think I saved $1000 below invoice. Love the car. Noticed a slight rattle on the driver side when going over subtle bumps particularly on the freeway. To be honest, it doesn't bother me much since I hardly notice it with the radio on. But when you buy a new car I guess you just want everything to be perfect.

Just curious to see what others have done? From reading boards like this one I have learned that rattles are a common problem. Is this something the dealership can fix and is it worth it from the standpoint they could make things worse?

Personally I have so many rattles developing that they dealership will see it for all of them. I didnt buy a new car, regardless of price, to deal with this.

I dont care if they bitch, letter is already been written and soon to be sent to Acura Client Services. Between the rattles and the road issues with the tires on my aspec, they have one unhappy customer.

My vote is take it in, and if they dont fix it, take it in again, and again, and again. Then claim lemon law.

 

I developed this driver side door/front left area rattle today, driving home from the DC/MD/VA acurazine meet. Not loud but steady and constant which gets annoying!
