Hey everyone just bought my TL today and the radio won't turn on. The battery must have been disconnected because I had to put in the pin. I did, the nav popped up but no radio? I pressed the am/fm button but get nothing. Any help would be appreciated!

 

did you put in the radio pin? if not ,push in the volume knob and it will ask you for a pin.

 

Maybe you should have the person you bought the car from help you with this issue? Did the radio work when you test drove the car and now not work or did the radio never work? You might need to take the car into the dealer or get a factory manual and trouble-shoot things.

I would also check your fuses in case one burned out for some reason.

just so OP knows there are 2 codes. one for navi and radio. you said your navi popped up indicating to me that you put in the navi code. In your first post you said *pin*, meaning one.

 

I test drove it and the radio was not on, I have a due bill that says they will fix it at no cost. Honestly I was fighting it was something simple. I tried pushing in the volume knob to no avail just an FYI. Also I am completely knew to the vehicle and never knew there were more than one code. I only entered the one listed in the owners manual

 

When you turn on the radio via the volume knob it should say like enter code were it shows the time up top. You use the 1-6 buttons that u use to tune to different channels. If it says this and you only have 1 code in your manual youve gotta get the other code from dealer or i think acura.com. I was locked out of my navi for a week, was tough with no backup cam lmfao.

 

Well I have nothing popping up where the time is when I hold in the volume knob :/

I just want radio lol

 

Idk man theres plenty of videos on youtube on the radio codes. But if none of that helps maybe somthing is actually wrong with it.

 

Well I did notice after it got dark, the radio lights don't light up. There is no light or sound at all

 

check the fuse . if its good, I have no idea. either way your going to need that radio code once your radio actually turns on.

 

will it let you put in a cd or eject one?
