Radio and clock backlight went out!!

I took my car to firestone last week to get a strut fixed and when I got the car back the radio, A/C, and clock backlights had all quit working. Everything still functions as normal just no lighting. I do have a radar detector hard wired to the sunroof controls (reason firestone claims for the problem) but I have checked the connections and disconnected it to troubleshoot the problem but nothing seems to fix it. I'm thinking that there is a ground problem or something but any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you checked the obvious: fuses?

I had the same issue. Took it to the dealer and it was some incorrectly installed/bad fuse.

I've checked the fuses and they are all good, not sure how you can incorrectly install a fuse but I'll check into it.

Both fuse boxes?

Hint: Fuse #4, 10A

Did you actually pull the #4 fuse in the under hood fuse box out and look at it? You can't always tell a blown fuse just by looking at it as it sits in the fuse box.

Yeah, just checked its fine. The reason I think it's a ground and not a fuse is because the radio and everything still work and if it's bright outside you can see the radio display, it's just not lightning up.
