Quick question about O/H console
This is not an LED question, but should be an easy answer for anyone who has done the conversion.
The back of my OH console (where the map lights & sunrooof switch are) hangs down from my headliner about 1/4 inch. It's fine up front, by the windshield.
I haven't tried pulling it down b/c I don't know how it's attached and I don't want to break anything.
Is the whole thing held up with clips, or am I missing a screw or something?
Anyone have an exploded diagram?
Thanks!

Do you mean your headliner is starting to droop? If so, that's a typical design pitfall of our gen 3's. I for one have made many trips and drank many cups of starbucks at the dealer for their non-sensical attempts at a remedy. The middle area of the headliner is held in place by hook and latch clips similar to velcro but more durable, well that's what they say. My dealer went so far as to replace the entire headliner, replace clips, etc. but it turns out the adhesive property of the clips weren't doing their job. So after half a dozen visits they decided to epoxy those clips and that has done the job so far. However, I have noticed some of the clips were misaligned and some only make half contact between each other! Can you believe that, you would think the techs would be more consciencious on their work but guess not! I would certainly include a discussion with the service manager while getting this rectified, otherwise you may make many unnecessary trips. Might as well cut to the chase unless you enjoy the concierge of starbucks, loaner cars, or get the itch to test drive something else.
