Quick Question

Spray painting my grill at the moment, going for the full murder look.

Thing is, I'm stumped on how you take off the silver trim attached to the hood.

Do I just wedge a flat head screw driver right under the plastic? Are there clips?

Thanks.

No no, the metal trim that's attached to the hood itself.

I did not find any clips.

Any other ideas fellas? I don't want to get spray paint on my hood.

I was thinking about putting 3x5 index cards in between where the trim / hood meet .. but I don't feel it's enough protection.

You can always use protection.

There are 3 or 4 bolts that hold that piece in i think they are a 10mm once you take those out it will slide right off.

Tyler-

Remove the (4) round plastic covers under the hood. Look inside the hole and you will see (4) 8mm bolts. Use a 1/4" inch socket/screwdriver and remove the bolts...good luck. Post pics of the murdered ride once your done!

From the looks of it, the hood piece seems to be stuck on with an adhesive :\.

If you look VERY closely, you can see the actual adhesive holding this piece on.

As for the 4 x 10mm bolts :- \.

Nothing.

Grill is almost done fellas.

I'll post pictures in a bit.

(I'm going to keep the charcoal gray coloring in the grill, I have a feeling it'll look good)

While I respect your opinion, shut up.

1 coat of primer, 2 light coats of paint, 1 heavier coat of paint, with a clear coat ... I feel pretty confident it will last longer than my last job.

Hope you guys enjoy.

Looks really good! Now you should get a new picture of it in the same location as the first picture because that first picture makes your car look SO murdered!

Amazing!

Thanks guys, I'm really enjoying the new look.

I think Aspec would really set off the "MUR-DUHHHHHHH" look, but that's an extra $700 bones I don't have :P.

A-Spec is a worthy investment though. Makes the car look way more aggressive.

They would look hot, but I don't care what kind of covering you use ... if you curb them once it's going to stick out like a sore thumb heh.
