Hi i just noticed this morning that my drivers side headlight turned on a purple color still working but its purple wath could it be the bulb? please were can i buy the bulb any recomendations i want to upgrate the ones 8000k , and how can i change it or should i take to the dealer to do it ,i just call then and they sayd it could be something else we have to check first 60 dollars just for check i dont think so,
so if someone can help me im from chicago i really apreciate tl 2004

 

"Pink/Purple eye" is most likely your bulb about to go. As far as bulbs, do a search. Lots of threads on bulbs.

 

Mine too, I've got an 04 TL and my driver side just turned purple in the last few days. I called the dealership and they said the 1 bulb is $239 + $242 to take off the bumper.
Ouch. oh and they won't let me bring in my own bulbs as they can't warranty it blah blah.

I did some looking around on AZine, and there's a thread about OSRAM CBI ones are really good but $200 per pair and pretty rare to find. Excelerate is offering the Kaixen HID ones for $100 + s/h. Looks like a great price.

I'm not sure where you are but I'm close enough to HeelToe automotive that I can drive there and get mine replaced for pretty cheap.

Let me know if you find the OSRAM ones, I'd love to get those.
