pulse/click in clutch pedal..

I have an TL 6 speed that has a click in the clutch pedal. You can hear it if you close the windows and turn the radio off, and you can also feel it through your left foot when you are releasing the clutch between shifts. The car drives fine, the clutch does slip, there is not shutter or anything, just the slight click in the pedal. Its almost like the clutch is getting hung up when it is being released. Anybody experience this or somthing similar, and if so what was it?

My car is still warrantied but i have a feeling they are going to say its a wear item like brakes and that the fix will not covered.

Any input is appreciated. Thanks.

New guy here. I have the same problem but only when it is hot outside. The clutch feels fine and I have 70k on the car. Its one of the many problems I have to have the dealer take care of before my warranty expires.

Wow, I have the same issue and I was about to make a similar thread but this was on top. 32.5k miles and the clutch is a clicking. Definitely noticeable in the pedal and audible. There are times is very bad and can be heard over normal driving. HELP!!!

Here is some related info. The causes are likely the same.

I think it's pretty common. I noticed it early and almost 3 years later pretty much don't even hear it anymore unless I specifically listen for it. I'm pretty sure in my case it is one of the switches actuating. I think it's the one that requires the clutch in to start. I feel nothing hanging or otherwise through the pedal.

I have had this on my 04 TL, 6MT. I had brought it in and asked to applied the RSX TSB and they changed the master cylinder. After 4 years it still smooth like butter and no clicks. I'm sorry but I do not have that RSX TSB no. anymore.

A similar sound was explained by another user as part of the mechanism for the cruise control. You did not mention at what point of the clutch operation this occurs.

It happens when you are releasing the clutch. On the way down its fine, but on the way back up, it clicks and pulses in the pedal. It happens about 75% of the time that you engage the clutch.

I have 43k on my car and its still under warranty. They greased the clutch pedal bearing or something like that, no charge. But it is still doing it when pushed in all the way, kinda of like a creaking sound. I don't want to be picky but it is noticeable.

I had the dealer replace the entire clutch assembly (under warranty). Good to go..

I have 34K on my 04' and have a similar issue. I'm going to make an APT to bring my car in as well. Is this a sign that the clutch is wearing out or something to do with the self adjusting pressure plate?

I only have around 700 miles on my 08 TLS.. the clutch clicks 3 times about an inch from the disengaged position. This is on the way up and on the way down. I can hear and feel the clicks about 80% of the time. Sometimes it goes away?? I think I'll have them take a look when I get my first oil change.

Had my mechanic look at this problem. He was able to fix it by simply greasing up the part of the clutch where the piston is or something like that? He said he had to put the clutch in to grease the correct parts to prevent it from binding on the way back up. WHat ever he did, my clutch feels like a brand new clutch. The dealer should be able to do the same type of fix.
