PROJECTOR AIMING!!! help please... 2nd Gen guy here

Im posting this in the 3rd gen as well, as you guys ALL have projectors and know how they should look all the time...

So my long awaited projector retro came to an "almost there" today... Worked a solid 6 hours on the actual install, and ended with a sick feeling of uncertainty when it came to the aiming and combo with my brights (as if I'll ever use em anyway, but still...)

I took these pics, the car was about 26 feet from the opposing building, a little off of straight to spare the left right alignment comments please...
But anyhow, bumper to wall is about 26 feet. The cut off is approx. 25.5 inches up the wall. The high beams are about 3 feet up - too high?

I took it for a spin as they are seen, and it seemed like they were really low, but this is also my first set of projectors. They didn't ignite the street signs like I thought they were gonna, and to do that, I think I would be blinding oncoming drivers...

I want to get them all set and sealed tomorrow morning and take the glory pics with a job well done... I need you guys who actually know - to tell me whats off. PLEASE!

One pic is brights and hid's - the other is HIDs only, and the last is a close up of the HIDs only, the left one looks like crap compared to the right - WHY? Anything I can do to fix it? It looks like a sloppy cut off, and as if the left beam has two jumps, a big and a little, as opposed to one big one on the right.

INFO IS REALLY APPRECIATED!!!!

Thanks so much guys - you all rock.

I do plan on updating my OLD! diy on this project, so no worries, many more pics to come

You havent sealed the lights yet? You need to do that before you can even think about aiming them. But from the pictures seems as though your right side needs to be aimed higher. any aiming that is done will be done after everything is mounted. Then you will put a phillips screwdriver into a hole that you will see and screw it to the left or right, depending on whether you want to move it up or down.

First though, SEAL THE HEADLIGHTS

Hmmm - well, I can't seal them first, or I won't be able to make the minor detail adjustments to the projector mounts. I need to get them as close to perfect as I can open, so any little changes needed can be done on the stock headlight adjusters on the outside of the lights. There isn't any holes in the housing to use a screw driver on. Its an hex key for the left/right and a 10mm for the up down.

But you think my right side needs to be higher, aight - as for my brights, too high?

Thanks for the feedback

Looks good to me, projectors dont cause glare to light up the street signs along with the fact that these are clear lensed projectors making no light above the cut off to defuse off and light up the signs.

You feel that they are low since this is your first time driving behind a set, otherwise rotational, horizontal and vertical aiming looks pretty good to me . Took you about a year to do this lol?? and here I thought I was slow .

if you feel its too low or too high just get in a car park it like 75 yards away and use your car facing it with the lights on.. if there too low you should know.. and if there any higher then the bottom of the other cars hood u probably need to come down

or just find a spec sheet of somekind.. from how high the light is suppose to be off the ground at a certain distance
