Problem w/climate control

'04 TL - I can't adjust the fan speed or turn off the airflow. I am able to adjust the temperature, but, when my car is running the air is always on full blast.

I tried to run to self diagnostic test, but I didn't have any luck and did not receive a code. Any ideas what my problem may be?

Thanks!

Does the fan speed indicator work correctly? And your fan just spins at full speed no matter what the speed setting is? Does it blow at full speed even when the climate contol system is OFF?

Yes. Visually it increases or decreases as I adjust it, but the actual fan speed never changes. And yes it continues the blow at full speed when I turn it off the climate control

99% of the time that's a bad transistor ( 79330-S6M-941 TRANSISTOR )

It controls fan speed, when it fails, it has a fail safe that keeps it on full blast.

To swap out remove the plastic cover kick panel under passenger dash, I believe it's viewable there. It's held in by two screws.
