I got my car tinted this week and i just now noticed that my whole backseat window isnt tinted because there is a panel in the way. it looks fine from the inside but looking from the outside it looks bad... im gonna try to take it back tomorrow to see if they can fix it some how. anyone else have this problem?

 

Had the same prob, its a bad tint job. Any good tint place will do it right.

It's because they are to lazy to remove the material surrounding the window to tint it correctly.

 

yea i went back and he told me that if he did it would be able to dry right and mess up the tint cause the water wouldnt be able to get out. he said he could do it but he wouldnt be able to put it under warranty

 

That is a terrible tint job. Any good shop is able to get under, there get the water out and have it lookin right.

 

yea. today i actually saw another tl with the same tint problem on the opposite side of town of where i got my car tinted. lol.

 

I have seen a lot of Tls and Accords have that problem because the rubber seal on the inside goes past the window. I put on another layer of tint to cover mine it was really easy with proper tint tools now I have almost none of that. Its a lie about the drying mine had no problems.

 

LOTTTTSS of people have complained about this problem on the TLs and accords. It's also tough to get the glass clean enough behind that felt to avoid getting dust under the tint. Good luck. But it should look better than that. They can get it in there, but the computer-cut stuff is not always big enough to cover the entire quarter-glass.

i went back already and he saud he will remove it for free the whole tint all windows and i am going to another place to get it redone

 

I wouldn't let them take it off for you. Chances are they are pissed you're making them do it and will sabatoge your car in the process. Do like I am and fight to get enough compensation for somebody else to retint the rear quarters the right way.

 

I went to one tint shop, they did that same job..... then a friend recommened a next tint shop to me, i went there and then, i asked the guy if he can do it, if not then i dont want to do it... he told me, thats easy... he didnt have to remove any panels.. just pushed the tint as far back, and he only charged me $25 dollars total for the 2 corners.. to remove it , and tint it.... now it looks perfect. worth that extra $25 dollars lol

 

As said above you got a bad tint job. They don't have to remove anything to get it there, they just use a rubbery tool to squish it in there and cut the excess. I don't have any photos now but I can stap one tomorrow if you need.

What I did with mine is I pulled up a photo on my phone of a good tint job and said I want this, then showed a photo of a bad tint and said if I get this your not getting paid.
The guy laughed at the photo, then looked at the car checked the clearance and them said that it won't be a problem.

 

i went to this tinting franchinse company. It cost me $260 or $360.. i forgot... But i didnt have this problem. My tints look perfect. All rear tints are at 5% (Manufacturer 4%), and my front tints are at 15% (manufacturer 13%)

 

I believe it just depends on who does ur window tinting...

 

My tint is fine on my TL-S, but previous owner didn't take the ULEV sticker off first on the drivers' side. I want to put my AEM stickers there, but not with that ugly thing underneath. Is that something I can take off, or better to have it done somewhere?

 

Dam another one of these retarded tint job threads. Seems like more ideots are tinting these days.
