Problem with removing rear seats in 2004 TL

I'm having a problem with getting the seat unhooked. the seat hook knobs are not budging. I don't want to just remove the back rest because I hear you can tear the seat part. If anyone has a trick to unhooking the bottom seat please show me the way. I'm getting my coilovers within 5 days

put your hand on the front bottom of the seat you'll feel a plastic clip. pinch the clips together and pull forward then pull up on the seats and the bottom seat comes out. there are 2 clips total.

for the back part, there are 3 10mm bolts on the bottom portion of the seat. can't miss them. there are also 2 10mm bolts behind each headrest. one behind each headrest.

if you are finding that the bottom seat pad will not pivot up after pulling the hook forward, press down on the the front portion of the seat bottom then pull hook and then raise seat bottom. As Sharksbreathe pointed out there are 10mm bolts hold the seats down were the back and bottom join. one on either side of seat bottoms. you have to pull back the pad to expose them, but they're there

Do you have to pinch the clip to pull the clip forward? Ive tried to pull the clip forward but it didnt even want to move. I removed the bolts beforehand.

it can be very tricky. I just removed my back seat a week ago and i had to put a bunch of weight on the seat cushion right above where the hooks are to get it to release. you may even have to use something to grip the hook. i used vice grips on the driver side. goodluck!

What I did was pull up on the seat with one hand until I got a good grip on the hook handle with the other hand and keep light pressure on the hook handle, then take the hand that you were using to pull up on the cushion and give it a sharp push down as indicated in the pic shown in the previous post. It'll pop right up...

Every car is different, troll gideon, helped me out with this a little more. Since others do know it sometimes is TRICKY, I got it within seconds after I kind of hit the top of the seat while pulling. It was stuck. Thanks for your help.

Not literally. Some clips obviously dont just pop off easily. Like mine for example.
