problem with one touch passenger window

i have a 07 tl and whenever i click the auto window to put the passenger window up, the window goes up half way, stops, then goes back down a little bit
i took it to the dealer and he said it was the tints that was causing it and he couldnt do anything unless i take the tints off...is this true or he just being really lazy
if the tints are not the case...does anyone know any other options that doesnt require me taking my tints off

Mine did this too and was replaced under warranty. I have a 05, it was the window regulators, first my driver side window did this an then a few months later the passenger window did it, both times it was covered under warranty, after these were replaced I got tints done, not purposely, it just happened that way. Havent had any problems since and its been a year since the tints.

you might have accidentally pressed the unlock button from the key fob more than 2x that upsets the security computer in the car. So press the unlock button until the windows come fully down. then turn the car back up and do it again, it should be fine. It happened to me when I first had the keys to a 3g TL, I tried to open the windows with the keyfob and when I got in the car to put the windows back up they would just go half way. I did something with the keyfob and i turned the ignition and it was back to normal.

the window will only retract if it senses an obstruction. There was a TSB on this, the problem is with dirty window channels that cause resistance.

^Mine is doing this exact same thing. So this isn't a keyfob problem, this is just a straight TSB issue?
