it happens every now and than.

but a metal rattle noise comes from the center.

it only happens when i drive over bumpy roads where it rattles for a minute or two while i drive. then stops - then comes back on -

took it to the dealer like 3-4 tiems about this issue and not one was able to reproduce it.

however i can hear it every time i drive on a bumpy road where it comes on and than off for the rattle noise.

its not a plastic sound but more metal on metal.
i drive an 05 / tl / MT

 

You sure it's not coming from behind the gauge cluster? Mine was making a metal rattling sound only when going over bumpy roads and it ends up there's a screw behind the gauge cluster that wasn't screwed in all the way.

 

I hear a metalic sounding rattle if the arm rest pad on top of the console is extended all the way forward. If I push it back to the second detent then it doesn't rattle.

 

Do you keep coins in the shity coin holder?
