i had that same problem with the powersteeling. one morning when starting up my o4 tl i notice this really loud noise kinda when i started my engine. and when i turn the steering wheel it made this horrible sound similiar to that of a remote control car. about 2 weeks later took it to the deal and they found it that it was the power steeling and so they just replaced my power steeling rack. after driving around in the rental for about a week. got my car back. start the car up in the morning just to find that same noise again. took it back to the dealer, now after doing a more thorough inspection they found that the hose was also bad and so another week with the rental until they get the part to fix it. after this was done that noise was gone. luckily all of this was still under warranty cause total cause for it was close to 2000.

 

WHAT'S A "POWERSTEELING?" I know, I know......but 3 times in one paragraph? By the way, it's called a "steeling" wheel not a "steering" wheel haha.
