Power window not catching but motor is working

Hey guys recently i have rolled my driver side window down and then i started hearing crackling coming from the door and stopped holding the button. Then i pulled the button up and the window came up but then i heard something fall like a metal rod and then my window started to slowly fall down as i drove. Now the window will not respond to the button at all and when i hold the button i can hear the motor turning but not catching on anything. I was wondering if you guys knew what this way, the regulator or something else? I know how to take the door panel off im just kinda scared to do it because of the glue stuff that is behind the white sheet after taking the panel off. If you guys can help me out here id appreciate it, i know you dont get much but estimated cost of parts would be helpful as im getting it properly checked out today or tomorrow.

I would remove the door panel and see if there is something that can be put back together first.

i took the main door panel off but there was a white screen with this yellow glue attaching it to something. Do you know if this is important because i dont really want to tear it off or pull it off if i cant put it back

so i took my door panel off and took the motor out and apparently the roudel for the pulleys and wires was broken or wouldnt properly catch on the wires. So now my question is can i buy these parts seperatly or do i need to buy a whole new regulator?

I have no idea what a roudel could be...From your description I say you need the whole regulator.

I doubt they sell it in parts, but maybe you can try one from a salvage...

Regulator has cables that 'pull' the window up and down. If these snapped you need a new Window Lift Assy. ;sold at the dealer :72250-SEP-305. I don't think you can buy these parts seperate on this model. But worth a shot at your local auto parts if you want to save money.
