Power Window broke

So I lowered the windows today and when I went to raise them the passenger one broke. I can hear the motor so that part should be fine. When I looked in from the top I can see some thick cable loose. I may give it a shot at taking it apart and see if I can fix it, but if not, any ideas how much a power window repair would run?

Also, anyone have a link to removing the door panel?

Thanks,
Adrian

Hi Adrian,

My passenger window went out a few years ago. Dealer quoted me $103 (part number was listed as 72210-SEP-A02)for the regulator and $90 for labor. That was in 2007 so expect some sort of increase.

Good luck!

Ok thanks for the info. That doesn't sound too bad. I'll take it in tomorrow and see what they say.

Heard a clunk, window won't work

I rolled down my window the other day and heard something fall inside the door. The window then pretty much stopped working after that. Same thing happened about 2 years ago to my drivers side window. Easy fix after buying a shockingly inexpensive part! I just want to know if there is another diagnosis for this other than motor. I want to order the part and fix it after I get back from thanksgiving. At this point, I'm 99% sure it's the motor, but I could be wrong.

Could potentially be the regulator but you won't know for sure until popping off the panel

If you can hear the motor running it's not bad, but no sound.........
Go to RockAuto and purchase regulator/motor assembly @ $75.
