Okay ever since I got my 04 TL the power steering has made a whining noise when it's cold. I already changed the o rings on the inlet hose and the other on coming out of the the pump. It still has the whining noise and now a new noise that kinda sounds like something is popping in the psp. I'm gonna just get a new psp tomorrow probably but I was wondering would it be okay to get it from autozone to save the cash or get it directly from acura and should I also get a new reservoir along with it because I know it has a filter of its own and that could possibly be another reason for the whining.

 

Get a new pump. If it were me, I'd always try to source an OEM.

 

rebuild it. under $20 in parts and about an hour of labor.
