Need a little help

this pains me to say this, short story shorter, the deck lid lip got knocked of my 07 Type S . i know i have to take the inner deck lid liner out to see what is there, but at -20, i don t much feel like it right now. the lip looks ok, it appears to me that there is plastic screws with double hear or along that line that hold it in place, it looks like one slides the plastic screw onto the spoiler and slides it throught the holes in the lid and tighten. All the holes are ok except one that broke away, which should be ok. i am trying to find these plastic screws or whatever they may be called or at least a part number, to no avail, for me anyway. it looks like 6 or 7 holes, but two have metal tabs on them, am sure this is to help stabilize the lip, and then there are two, i believe that have green inserts in the lid, but go nowhere, or have nothing protruding out of them and and kind of a tri angle shape. anyone with any help, i would appreciate it.

thanks al

First and foremost, please try to make your posts more readable.
It's difficult to read when it's a block of text and all the good intentions in the world won't help if we can't read what you want to say.

From what I can gather, you're looking at the trunk spoiler screws?

Take a picture, it's worth a thousand words.

Otherwise look at the section outlined by the number 29:

29 is the spoiler and mounting hardware, I imagine you're either looking for 28, 32 or 33.

Tomorrow's supposed to be -10 only. If I was able to change my plate bulbs by unclipping the whole trunk lining, the trunk bulb and all the interior bulbs at -10 last week, I'm sure you'll be fine.

i think i have a handle on it now, i need to remove the cushions / black blocks on either side of the trunk liner to access the screws / clips. have tried a few different things to remove them to no avail. found a link on it and says just slide the right one to the right and the left one to the left, have squeezed, poked, prodded, but don t seem to budge, and i don t want to break them. any tips on removing them ?

Thanks balmy here this am only -12 shorts and t shirts

Liner slips over them. There's also the middle plastic part around the lock that pops out and the handle you have to unscrew. Don't forget to pop out all the clips around the liner (pull the center out first then pop out the whole thing with a small flathead).

Takes 10 minutes once you're used to it. If you want to change your plate or reverse bulbs, now is a good time.

thank you very much gentlemen. after reading it cpl times. looks like a piece of cake.

there is what appears to be two sided strip of tape around the edge of the lip, there is cpl pieces missing of it. can i just peel that off and replace it with 3m tape ? or don t worry about it, 2 sections about 2 inches long missing.
