Did you ever have the recall done? They do this for free if not.

Because they may want to save the money and time by not doing the flush and not changing the low-pressure inlet orange O-ring that comes with the recall kit.

Pretty much all the TL's had a power steering recall. If you call a dealer with your VIN they can tell you if it needs to be done.

I'm so sorry, the search I did was for RDXs and didn't mean to intrude. Iwonder if the RDXs follow suit with the steering issue? What were your symptoms?

No symptoms....the PS hose was tooo close to the rear head/cat and hence prone to cracking and PS pump failure....when you take it in, they are supposed to

1> remove the hose
2> replace with high temp hose
3> insulate it
4> switch o-rings
5> flush your PS system....

but they do not do any of that....all the do is insulate the existing hose....

If I were you, I would just perform this:
https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-problems-fixes-114/diy-105-power-steering-pump-overhaul-pics-sm-scans-841134/

and a flush

Thanks! I need to go to a regular mechanic and tell him what to do. I'm a useless DIYer and cause more problems than help. E.g., I dropped the Steering Fluid cap and it seems lost forever. Any suggestion for getting new cap?

Thanks, but I won't call my dealer with anything. They really screwed me over a few years ago, and I don't trust them at all. I'll need to do my own research. And thanks for helping.

That's a hoot! But, this was a resevoir near the windshield and near the steering. I had taken it off to see if it was, in fact, the steering resevoir and was trying to read it and . . . whoops. It's about 2 inches in diameter.! Glad to have company losing this.

Is this for your RDX? There is a TSB for some RDX's for leaking power steering hoses. Can't recall what warranty implications there were or if ther was an extension for time/mileage. I will dig it up Thursday, bu you can see I your deler will help.
