Power steering -06 TL manual

Is power steering tend to be a bit noisy on Acuras? This is my first Acura/Honda vehicle, and its quite noisy when you turn, making most noise when turned all the way to either side.

I had taken my car to the dealer 18 mos ago for that Power Steering hose recall, but not sure what they'd actually replaced. The fluid level in the reservoir is full. I had an Acura dealer tech test drive with me and he said this is normal, but thinking its a bunch of BS.

Same problem here... I took mine in and they replaced the rack (they said it was leaking) but it still makes noise. I feel pretty uncomfortable about it.

That is total BS. My 06 doesn't make any noise when turning. Sounds like PS pump. Take the car to a local Honda/Acura shop and see what they think.

I put my car into the dealership yesterday for this exact problem. There is a recall on our TLs for a bad powersteering hose and o-ring. From what I've read, it's mostly the o-ring that leaks and allows air to get into the hose which causes the whine. They are replacing the hose and associated o-ring free of charge. Do a search on these forums for "powersteering whine" and read all about it. The recall was issued back in 08 and the problem rears its head mainly in cold weather. Mine did it last winter as well and I decided I didn't want to have another winter full of the same so I looked on here and found the problem.
