Power Mirrors Stopped Working
Power Mirrors Stopped Working
We've had some cold weather lately and my power mirrors stopped working. The funny thing is that the mirrors work when I want to move them down or to the right, but the don't work when I want to move them up or to the left. Has anyone ever see this before? Does this sound like a switch issue or could it be something else?
If the fuse were blown, they wouldn't move at all would they?
I'd guess they've slipped their gears. Lot of popping and clicking when they do move?
If it's under warranty, I'd take it to the dealer.

I did more research on the web on this and found that whenever the winshield washer fluid freezes and you try to spray the washer fulid the fuse blows. This affects the power mirrors as well. Replacing the 7.5 fuse with 10 fixes the problem. Did it today and my ride is back to normal.

It's also listed in the Garage under the TSB section. Easy enough to do it yourself, but the dealer will do it for free if you don't want to.
#20 fuse was blown put in a 10 amp everything is working again somehow the washer fluid motor is link to the up, left movement on the ouside mirriors and seat memory
Why are we not using anti-freeze type washer fluid in the winter? It's definitely worth the $3.00 to swap out your summer washer fluid for winter stuff
Around here, with all the de-icer spray over the mountain passes, losing the washer fluid function is NOT an option.
