Hey guys i have an 08 TL S...and i recently cut off my mid muffler, and im starting to doubt it, cuz i hear a popping sound on my driver side rear fenderwel, i dont know what it is, but its a low popping sound kinda sound like the popcorn machine, or water boiling sound...its like something is cooking in there?! im not sure if its from the straight pipe or something else, any of you guys had this prob. before?

 

or should i just put the mid-muff back on? would it come back to the way it was brand new if i put the mid-muff back on?

 

I have the same exact low popping/bubbling noise coming from the rear driver side wheel well of my 07 TL. I can hear it if i put my ear by the driver side rear fenderwell while my car is idling. I don't have my mid muffler removed though. I have a completely stock exhaust. Anyone else have this same noise?

Nevermind, the "issue" seems to be a quite normal occurance. I found an old thread where many others heard the same noises, and it turned out to be the evap purge solenoid mounted in the driver side rear wheel well. Here's the original thread: https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...ar+wheel+noise

I dropped my car off at the dealer for the power steering hose recall today and asked them to check the noise out. I feel a bit better knowing that it's normal.

 

My 07 Acura TL type s just started making this noise. I had a 05 accord v6 that made a similar noise from the driver side rear tire.
