popping noise while shifting?

popping noise while shifting?
When using the triptonic, I have heard some popping noise while shifting in high rpms. Its done it twice in the last week and scares the hell out of me. Any ideas what it might be?

What octane are you running? How high revs? CEL? specific gears? more details please.
