Please help misfire on pistons !!!

Ok last night i was running at WOT and then the check engine light started to flash, today the same problem on the same conditions running at wot and the check engine flashing again. So I put the scanner on the car and the problem was a misfire on piston # 1 and # 5 and multiple misfires. The mechanic told me that it must be the spark plugs my car is a 2004 with only 60k miles. Had anyone expirience this ? Right now the car is running fine but I am worried it could be something else, any sugestions ?

i have read a lot of misfire problems with the tl because people keep WOT-ing it. What is the point in WOT-ing the car? i dont get it. Maybe for Vtec exercise? but still......

I really don't know the code the mecanic only told me that the reading was a misfire on piston # 1 and # 5 and multiple misfires. my only concern is that the problem are only the spark plugs and nothing else. Because I was thinking that at 60k miles they should be good.

same problem I had last summer. Changed spark plugs and everything was fine. front middle one was loose for some reason and was missing part of the half u looking thing at the end, its late and im tired. Everything is better now, even helped with quieting down the pinging. I bought them for 100 bucks the NGK upgraded ones from napa. Had 1k miles on them then went s/c and no longer need them PM me.

on the contrary, I wonder why people don't WOT'it all the time. We didn't buy the TL to drive it like a chevette - its built to haul butt and corner on rails...in luxurious style. I've read more than a few times folks saying they never exceed 3500 rpm's. What!?

The TL has a great engine few other 3.2 liters produces 270 hp. my 2000 v6 accord is a 3.0 and only produce 200hp and even the 3.5 engine of the maxima is 255hp. if you have the power use is !! LOL

so basically you drive Ms Daisy since you bought you car? you never once went WOT in your car?

you only need to rev up to 5200rpm at the most to engage vtec and that does not require WOT....ive never heard of a Vtec exercise. vtec works mainly off of oil pressure and a few other things....
