Please help.. accelerating problems.

Hey guys, about 2 months ago, my car threw a c.e.l. for running to rich. I looked under the hood and my purge hose was ripped. I fixed it and light went off. Ran good for about a week but then starting hesitating a little on acceleration. I changed the plugs, coils, purge solenoid and then pulled off the intake manifold and cleaned out the egr passage ways and put a new egr valve on it.. it ran good for a week and then started slightly hesitating again on acceleration. It feels like it's bogged down and if I give it more throttle, it hesitates. It's so frustrating. Someone please help.

No check engine light.. I was thinking the app sensor but do those go out intermittently? Sometimes it hesitates and sometimes it drives like a brand new car.

did you take your IM off and clean the passages? Idle relearn procedure?

Well no one knows the answer to your problem, but we can take guesses. You've done what I would have, which is doing the plugs, coils and egr valve. You can try resetting your ECU to see if it does anything.

Yes-- there are several threads in this forum about the APP sensor going bad intermittently and unpredictably without throwing a CEL.

Turbonut posted the most likely issue in the second post in this thread.

Did you clean your throttle body when you clean the passages out? And you need to do the idle learn procedure too
