Persistent ripples in seats

Does anyone else have persistent 'ripples' in their leather seats, particularly in the driver seat? Is it the leather starting to wear or the underlying cushioning or something?

, it's quite common.

Just keep trying to condition it. It's like putting lipstick on a pig. At the end of the day, it will still be a pig.

Haha ok thanks. It seems like it's from driving with my wallet in my back pocket and it sort of 'stretches' out the leather underneath it

I have worked as a Quality Eng in automotive seating for 8 years. All the OEMs use a steamer to smooth out wrinkles on leather seats. Just run a hand steamer over it and try to pull the wrinkles out of it by pushing away from the center of it. It is likely that the seat did not fit perfect when they put it into the car, and they had to steam it to get it to fit.

That's good to know. I'm going to try it tomorrow. Thanks.

i really think the way to temporarily fix it is get more cushioning added, because the leather is stretching everytime u sit on it
