My passenger side mirror doesn't move down when i put it into reverse. It just gets "stuck" and then when i shift back into drive or park the mirror moves up. So every time i have to move the mirror back down. I was just wondering if there was a "simple" fix for this or if i should take it in.

 

Either the screw that holds the mirror glass on is too tight(someone pulled it off maybe), or the grease behind the mirror is all dried and crusty to the point its not allowing the mirror to move down anymore. I just disable that reverse feature until I have time to take it apart and fix it.

On mine, it sometimes clicks when it goes down in reverse mode, but I have a feeling its the grease that allows the mirror to move with ease is old dried and hardened. You can attempt to clean it out and apply new grease.

Take some alligator clips and put each end in the jumper port ind the under dash fuse relay CHK box. It will give you a bunch of codes on the MID. Write them down and report back.

 

per an Acura service mgr the parts between the mirror maybe weak and need to be replaced.... not cheap if you let the dealership do it...
