Anybody have any idea why my passenger door wont lock when I use the remote? Anyone else have a problem with any of the doors not locking ?

 

do you push the lock buttontwice to confirm that it is locked? If you do and none of the doors lock, it might be a dead battery in the remote or a fuse in the car.

 

I pushed the button 2 and 3 times and all the doors lock and unlock except the passenger door. I just used the up and down lock on the door and it is not locking it either. Im starting to think its the actuator in the door. I just checked the price on it and it seems to be 22$ I hope thats it

 

I am also curious since I bought the tl used is the horn supposed to honk when you hit the lock button twice? My old tsx had the horn that honked on the 2nd lock. Im starting to think Im gonna have to dump money in this tl I just bought.

 

If the car is still under the warranty mileage (48K or 50K), the actuator should be covered even for a non-original owner.
There was a thread or two here a few months back about bad door lock actuators or door lock pins that were crooked and rubbing that you might want to search if your car is out of warranty.

No, the TL horn does not honk when you push the lock button twice. The TL issues a single mid-high pitch"beep" tone when you push the lock button twice. A couple of people have discussed modding the wiring to have the horn sound instead of the "beep" tone, but I don't recall the conclusions.
